I'll just say one thing: those chasing storage chips now are all bag holders.
Today $SNDK went crazy again, jumping over 100 points right at the open, reaching a high of 1909, now at 1892, up 7 points. $MU and $SKHY also rose along, the storage sector collectively taking off.
Many are shouting again "the super cycle is here," "AI storage demand is exploding," urging to chase in.
Although I’m stuck in a short position, I still say, those chasing now are bag holders.
SanDisk doubled in three months, Micron nearly doubled too. How many times in history has such a rise lasted? There are tons of profit-taking positions; any slight disturbance leads to a sharp drop.
Remember in June, Micron plunged 13% in one day, Hynix dropped 12%? Don’t forget that.
AI storage demand is real, but prices have already baked in expectations for several years ahead. At this level, the risk-reward ratio is terrible; chasing now is just carrying the bags for those ahead.
Of course, if you think it can still rise, then go ahead and chase, after all, it’s not my money you’re losing.
