Sharp plunge in early trading: macro outlook hot, leverage triggers chaos
This morning BTC quickly dropped; Middle East tensions and oil prices breaking $100 are just background noise. The real trigger for the decline was a chain liquidation of high leverage positions on the exchange.
After failing to break through 87,000, the price reversed and lost the 84,000 level, triggering dense stop losses on long positions. In just 20 minutes, about $400 million in longs were forcefully liquidated, causing a stampede-style deleveraging. Notably, spot did not see a corresponding large-scale sell-off, indicating this was not a spot-driven dump but rather a targeted purge of leveraged longs.
More subtly, 4 new wallets appeared on Hyperliquid, each depositing 250,000 USDC, and precisely opening 40x BTC short positions just before the plunge. If this were pure coincidence, it would be hard to believe; they seem more like opportunistic capital sensing the blood in advance.
Therefore, this sharp drop should not be directly interpreted as a trend reversal. The key referee is the Fed's September meeting minutes: if hawkish, 83,000 could be a true bottom test; if dovish, the market may gradually absorb the deleveraging aftermath.
In short: macro factors gave the reason, leverage amplified the damage, and the minutes will decide the next direction.

We’re seeing selling with intent, now backed by spot as well. So far the pressure is being rewarded.
Price is running into a denser pocket of passive bids now. We’ve seen this exact interaction multiple times lately: sellers hit bids, get absorbed, shorts get trapped -> squeeze higher.
If that happens again, same playbook.
If not, I want to see sellers actually get rewarded with clean progress and full candle closes lower.#BTCWhalePressureEases $BTC daily
Retesting the October open and channel breakout.
After 8 straight higher lows on the daily, a break of the low brought a rapid flush.
Note the liquidity at the highs was not taken, saving fuel for a squeeze above the yearly open when the time is right.#OKXNOW:24x7MarketEra "Minutes Night, What Should the Crypto Community Watch?"
The September FOMC unanimously raised rates by 25bp, bringing the rate to 3.75%-4.00%. When the minutes are released, the market's real concern isn't this hike, but whether there will be more hikes afterward. CME shows about an 80% chance of no change in October, and nearly a 68% chance of another 25bp hike in December. Weaker nonfarm payrolls reduce urgency, but inflation remains high, and internal committee disagreements are inevitable.
If the minutes lean hawkish: Most remain worried about inflation and emphasize keeping the option to raise rates. US Treasury yields and the dollar may rise again. $BTC will face pressure and pull back; $ETH, being more elastic, may fall more than BTC; smaller coins like $ZEC will experience the most volatility.
If the minutes lean dovish: Cooling employment is noted, most believe no further hikes are needed, and liquidity expectations improve. BTC rebounds, ETH leads gains, and ZEC may see a sharp short-term surge.
The most likely scenario is neutral: a split between hawks and doves, vague wording, the market will first fluctuate and then wait for data.
After the minutes, focus only on two things: the 10-year US Treasury yield—if it rises, it pressures crypto; if it falls, it supports crypto; and BTC-ETF fund flows—if hawkishness triggers outflows, the decline will be amplified. Don't guess direction in the short term; wait for signals.
#9月FOMC会议纪要公布在即,是否继续加息? #BTC巨鲸抛压减弱,ETF资金连续三周净流入 #OKXNOW:开启全天候市场新时代 ETH main force has been running away! Continue shorting on the rebound!!!
ETH is now at 2648, a pretty suitable position to short.
First, let's look at the technical side. Above 2648 is a dense moving average area, with EMA12 at 2676 and EMA26 at 2626, both lines pressing down, plus there are quite a few sell orders hanging around 2640 to 2660, so the price rebound will hit a wall. The MACD momentum bars are basically at zero, RSI is hovering around 44, no strength going up. Looking down, 2564 is the last decent short-term support; if broken, it will head straight to 2500.
Now the news side. Ethereum spot ETF has had net outflows for 6 consecutive days, institutions are withdrawing. Earlier, an old whale from the ICO period who got ETH at a cost of only $0.31 recently sold 13,300 coins in one go, showing a strong willingness to realize profits. Also, about 520,000 ETH were withdrawn from MetaMask staking as a precaution due to a security incident, and the validator exit queue once reached 850,000 coins; these chips will eventually flow out.
In terms of operation, enter short directly near 2648, or short in batches between 2630 and 2660. Set stop loss above 2700; if it breaks above, admit defeat and exit. The first target is 2564; reduce half the position there, then look at 2511, and further down is the 2500 round number. Control position size to 10% to 15% of total funds, and leverage should not exceed 3x. ETH is fiercely contested between bulls and bears now; only light positions can withstand the up and down spikes.
$ETH The US spot Solana ETF just recorded its strongest week since listing, then cooled down.
As of September 25, seven funds had a combined net inflow of about $188 million, with about $87 million on Friday alone. Bitwise's BSOL took about $128 million, nearly two-thirds; GSOL, FSOL, and other issuers shared the rest, all positive for the week.
Afterwards, funds retreated. From September 28 to October 2, net inflows roughly dropped to near zero; on October 5 and 6, net outflows were about $9.2 million and $3.7 million respectively. The last five trading days saw a total net outflow of approximately $28.6 million.
Cumulative net inflows still stand at about $1.59 billion, with net assets around $1.93 billion, BSOL holding the majority. By comparison, Bitcoin ETFs are an order of magnitude larger, and recent inflows into XRP ETFs have been slightly stronger than Solana's. When the record week occurred, SOL was around $119, having retraced about 60% from its peak. Subscription instructions indicate buyers, but do not necessarily mean the price will be pushed back up. 🟠 Glassnode shows the largest Bitcoin liquidation cluster above price runs $87.1K-$95.9K, heaviest near $92K.

Bitcoin.com News"Minutes Night: $BTC at a Crossroads, $ETH Treading the Liquidation Line"
With the Fed minutes countdown underway, the market seems to be holding its breath. BTC is currently at 83,800; just after breaking above 85,000, it turned into resistance. Over $400 million in long positions were liquidated within an hour, with momentum traders taking an initial hit. The next steps are straightforward: if after the minutes BTC climbs back above 85,000, short covering could trigger a rebound; if it fails to hold and breaks below 83,500, then 82,000 becomes the next magnet.
ETH is even more tense. Around 2608, with resistance at 2694 and support at 2600, it dropped sharply from 2694 to 2580 during the session, currently treading the dense liquidation zone at 2550. If the minutes lean hawkish and 2550 breaks, forced liquidations could cascade; only a recovery above 2694 would restore sentiment.
SKHYNIX is at 181, with resistance at 191.8 and support at 180. The memory sector took a 4-point hit overnight, falling from 195 to 181. The HBM4 logic remains intact, but on minutes night, individual stocks rarely act independently—don’t treat the narrative as a shield.
Therefore, I lean towards this: BTC’s short-term focus is the battle for 85,000; failure to reclaim it points bearish towards 82,000; reclaiming it suggests a rebound and breakout. ETH is watching 2694 and 2550, a choice between the two. No betting before the minutes; wait for the market to make the first move. After the price reached the key resistance zone above, the bulls' offensive strength noticeably weakened, making it difficult to set new highs despite repeated surges; buying momentum began to dry up, and signs of a stagnant market became increasingly clear.
Comprehensively judging the market signals, a phase top is approaching, so enter 50x short positions at high levels. Hot coins rise driven by sentiment, and once market heat is exhausted and funds take profits and exit, a correction can start at any time.

High leverage brings deep retracement, yet he still holds: after clearing the high market, ETH will regain its explosive power first.
$HYPE: 10x full position long, 155,000 coins, floating profit of 45,100. The position is light, more like probing the residual heat of the sector, also bearing funding fees.
What he is betting on is not an immediate reversal, but that mainstream coins will endure the washout and ETH will lead the rally again. U.S. Treasury yields have surged to a 24-year high, and attacks on Middle Eastern oil tankers have pushed inflation expectations back up. The total market cap has evaporated by 100 billion, dropping to 2.9 trillion. BTC fell below 83,000, ETH dropped 6%, and altcoins generally fell between 3 to 7 points. I've seen this kind of panic selling many times; once the liquidity squeeze is over, that's when opportunities arise.
I just refilled the enamel basin on the guard post windowsill with some hot water, now continuing to watch SAND.
SAND is currently priced at 0.07901, having pulled back in the short term but holding support and rebounding. MACD shows a golden cross, moving averages are in a bullish alignment, and the technicals have turned positive. The key lies in the liquidation map: a large cluster of short liquidations is stacked between 0.084 and 0.088 above, while long stop losses below are sparse. This structure is a typical liquidity sweep upwards; the market makers have every reason to take out those shorts.
The direction is long. Entry zone is between 0.0785 and 0.0792; buy on pullbacks. First take profit at 0.084; if broken, target the acceleration zone at 0.088. Set stop loss at 0.0765; if broken, admit the mistake and exit. Keep position size light; in panic markets, stop losses must be decisive.
I'm watching this trade closely and will patrol the building again late at night.

$SNDK was mostly sold in the first two segments, with buying and selling nearly balanced in the last segment: overall active buying was 40.0%, rising to 51.9% in the last segment, with a 15-minute price change of -0.80%. The seller's advantage did not persist until the end of the window, and the most recent segment shows no clear one-sided transaction dominance.Myocardial perfusion has already shown abnormalities, but it hasn't reached the stage requiring open-chest surgery yet.
$APT is currently priced at $0.63, with a 24-hour fluctuation of 4.41% — this is not a myocardial infarction, but transient myocardial ischemia. What really needs attention is that the short-term RSI has surged to 70.3, clearly entering the overbought zone, while the long-term RSI is only 54.1, still hovering in the middle range. This short-long divergence is like a transient ST segment elevation on an ECG without corresponding myocardial enzyme elevation: symptoms appear quickly, but pathological anatomy lacks support.
Looking at the Bollinger Bands: the short-term price position has reached 120% — exceeding the upper band, 3.7% above the lower band, and only 0.6% away from the upper band. This indicates the vessels have been stretched to their limit, and elastic recoil is inevitable. The mid-term Bollinger position is at 97%, with the price only 0.2% above the upper band, basically pressed against the wall. Vessel walls in both time dimensions are being pushed, which is typical of volume overload, not a real increase in cardiac output.
My judgment: this is a window to reduce positions opportunistically, not to add.
📉 Short:
Entry: $0.64 (2.0% above current price)
Take Profit 1: $0.59 (-6.1%)
Take Profit 2: $0.60 (-4.9%)
Stop Loss: $0.70 (-12.1%)
Note the risk-reward ratio: the first target is 6.1% below entry, while the stop loss is 12.1% away. This is not a clean surgery — the wound is larger than the lesion. Therefore, the position must be managed conservatively like treating an aortic dissection: better to cut less than to over-strip. A true surgeon would not expand surgical indications just because of one successful suture.
The order of Take Profit 1 and Take Profit 2 is also worth considering: the farther $0.59 corresponds to a larger drop of 6.1%, while the closer $0.60 corresponds to only 4.9%. This suggests a temporary support structure near $0.60, like a calcified plaque, increasing puncture resistance. Gradual liquidation aligns better with anatomical logic.
Don't be fooled by the 4.41% intraday fluctuation; that's just noise on the monitor. The real vital signs are: short-term overbought + Bollinger band top wall + short-long RSI divergence, all appearing simultaneously, requiring an extended postoperative observation period.

Looking at the $BTC annual cost line, the 2025 buyer group is the most awkward.

$NEAR +5.28% in 24 hours, current price 5.324, only 0.24% away from the 1-hour resistance at 5.337. This kind of position easily creates an illusion: a brief intraday surpass is mistaken for a completed breakout. The truly substantial answer is whether it can hold after surpassing.
Putting emotions aside, the information given by the structure is very specific. The 1-hour EMA20 is at 5.1249, currently strong; the 4-hour EMA20 is at 5.0809, currently strong. The short cycle exposes changes, the long cycle limits imagination. When both align, beware of crowding; when they conflict, beware of repetition. You cannot just pick the side that favors you.
The task for the stronger side is clear: first, firmly stand above the 1-hour resistance at 5.337, then observe whether the 4-hour resistance near 5.37 can still maintain support. If it only briefly surpasses intraday and quickly returns to the range, the so-called breakout lacks the most critical latter part. The most dangerous thing on the chessboard is not the opponent's queen sacrifice, but your own belief that you understand the position. $ACH In this game, White is stacking heavy pieces on the second baseline, while the Black king remains on the original square.
The 24-hour volatility is only 2.12%, seemingly calm, but in fact, it's a typical closed center—no exchanges, no open files, both sides waiting for the other to make the first move. However, the short-term RSI has already reached 65.1, the bearish candidate squares are being eroded; the long-term RSI is only 41.7, indicating that in the big picture, the bulls are still confined to their own half. This is a tactical-level advance, not a strategic-level full attack.
The real flaw lies in the Bollinger Bands. The price has reached 114% of the short-term channel—0.3% above the upper band. What does this mean? It's equivalent to a pawn having crossed the promotion square without a queen protecting it. This structure in the endgame is called "a pawn crossing the river without roots," and the next move is very likely to be captured. The mid-term Bollinger Band is only at 72%, with a 1.3% to 3.5% buffer between the upper and lower bands, indicating the overall trend hasn't caught up; this is just a lone advance.
So my move is to counter: not chasing the long, waiting for it to self-destruct beyond the upper band, then placing a short to catch the leak.
📉 Short:
Entry: Current price +1.8% (waiting for it to surge before the check move)
Take Profit 1: -4.7%
Take Profit 2: -3.4%
Stop Loss: +11.2% (this is the last defensive piece I leave on the board; if it's taken, it means I misjudged the entire midgame structure)
The two take profit points are realized stepwise, no greed. The first target recovers half the forces, the rest follow with mobile defense. The 11.2% stop loss seems wide, but it corresponds to an event equivalent to "heavy piece exchanged for queen." Once triggered, it must be accepted unconditionally; no excuses about long-term layout.

This is not a capped structure; it’s a cantilever component temporarily supported by an emotional scaffold, swaying with the wind.
What’s truly worth noting is that the main framework is still intact. The mid-term Bollinger Band position is 66%, 2.8% below the upper band and 5.8% above the lower band, indicating the load-bearing system is still oscillating within the normal load range; the long-term RSI reads 55.9, neutral to slightly cool, the main beam hasn’t bent, only the cantilevered eave has. The white paper is the blueprint, the ecosystem is the foundation; $AAVE’s foundation standards have always been qualified, but that doesn’t mean every floor can be arbitrarily added. The current problem is: the elevation on the blueprint no longer matches the actual height poured on site.
My construction judgment is — in the short term, a formwork removal and re-topping must be done to bring the cantilevered part back into the main beam’s stress range. Entry position $97.99, 2.9% higher than the current price, is the scaffold platform reserved for the last batch of chasing buyers, not a loading zone.

Take Profit 1: $87.10 (-8.5%)
Take Profit 2: $90.03 (-5.5%)
Stop Loss: $109.29 (+14.8%)
It must be clearly stated what the structural meaning of these parameters is: Take Profit 1 set at -8.5% corresponds to the bearing surface near the mid-term Bollinger Band lower band; Take Profit 2 at -5.5% is a more conservative first unloading point. The stop loss extended to +14.8% means the safety factor is increased by 1.5 times, giving a long margin for error — the cost is that the position must be configured at minimum load, any heavy position means this beam is long-term in an over-reinforced state. The problem with an over-reinforced beam is not that it won’t crack, but that it cracks without warning.
The curtain wall can be made very beautiful, but the structure won’t bear an extra kilogram just because it looks good. The cantilever must ultimately return within the projection line of the main beam; as for the space above $109.29, that must be reserved for projects with higher seismic ratings.#BTC

Emotional trading is the biggest taboo in high-leverage games; patiently wait for clear market signals before seizing opportunities. #9月FOMC会议纪要公布在即,是否继续加息? $BTC $ETH #BTC whale sell pressure weakens, ETF funds have net inflows for three consecutive weeks, and the capital side is quietly changing
The most notable change is not how much BTC has risen again, but that sellers are no longer in such a hurry.
Glassnode data shows that the trend of BTC whales continuously net transferring to exchanges for over 3 months has ended, indicating that potential concentrated sell pressure is easing. Meanwhile, the US spot BTC ETF has recorded weekly net inflows for three consecutive weeks, about $241 million in the most recent week.
On one hand, whales are reducing transfers to exchanges; on the other, institutional funds continue to enter, showing subtle changes on both supply and demand sides.
But there is a detail that cannot be ignored: although ETF funds have continuous inflows, the scale has not continued to accelerate. Glassnode also pointed out earlier that ETF inflows have clearly cooled down compared to the late September peak, and BTC trading volume remains low.
So it cannot yet be simply understood as a "full-scale buying spree."
What really matters is whether ETF funds can continue to take over after whale sell pressure weakens.
If new funds keep coming in and the sell pressure above continues to decline, the market's supply-demand balance may further change.
The question is: this time, can institutional funds truly catch the chips left by the whales?
$BTC Let's talk about the $ADA trade: entered short at 0.2654 with 50x leverage, achieving a floating profit of 165.78%.
Many people see profits and want to go all in, but altcoins are highly volatile with many false bullish signals.
I always prioritize risk control, placing stop-loss orders as soon as I enter, never going all in. Once the trade is profitable, I immediately lock in the principal.
At that time, the market repeatedly tested the upper resistance, and the bulls showed weak support. Making a profit on a single trade isn't the skill; respecting volatility and protecting your principal is what allows you to compete in the market long-term. #9月FOMC会议纪要公布在即,是否继续加息? $BTC $CT Many brothers have asked about this $ZEC short position. Opened short at 1362.89 with 50x leverage, floating profit 105.03%.
Don't be fooled by the comfortable-looking profit; 50x leverage has very low tolerance for error. Once a quick rebound occurs, it's easy to get stopped out immediately.
I set a stop loss in advance before opening the position, only using 10% of the position size to test the waters. #9月FOMC会议纪要公布在即,是否继续加息? When the market shows floating profit, immediately move the stop loss to break even. After continuous surges, volume can't keep up, and selling pressure above continues to release.

Unexpectedly hawkish signals may push U.S. Treasury yields and the dollar higher, while putting pressure on stocks and cryptocurrencies. If the tone is more dovish or cautious, it could reinforce market expectations for a pause in rate hikes in October, thereby easing upward pressure on yields and supporting risk $PURR $HYPE Damn it! HYPE's rally this time is way too fake, folks, listen to my advice. The 88.12 level is purely drawn by the dog whales, with no fundamentals at all—it's obviously the last bull trap before a shakeout. Look at the volume, it shrinks as it rises, exactly like the altcoin peak last year; smart money has long started to exit. This kind of rootless float is just handing heads to the whales when it goes up. I'm saying this: lightly short near 88, set stop loss at 89.5, target first at 85. Don't get carried away, control your position size. If you want to follow, check the token market card below to see the order book, lay low, don't make noise. ⚠️🐻
The above is just my personal opinion and does not constitute investment advice. Contract leverage carries extremely high risk; please control your position size yourself, profits and losses are your own responsibility.

$BTC is tugged repeatedly between 82,500 and 85,000, ETH stuck between 2,600 and 2,700. When it rises a bit, someone sells; when it falls a bit, someone buys. The most frustrating thing is the lack of direction.
Strong resistance above: 30-year US Treasury yield at 5.69%, highest since 2002; Dollar Index at 102.5, an 18-month high. Rising risk-free yields and dollar tightening naturally suppress risk assets. Every time BTC tests 85,000, it feels more like being pressed down by macro factors rather than pure selling pressure.
There is also support below: Nonfarm payrolls only 29,000, far below the 90,000 expectation, with the previous two months revised down by 60,000; October rate hike probability dropped from 24% to 18%. On-chain data is even clearer: addresses holding 10–10,000 BTC increased their holdings by over 41,000 BTC in the past 10 days, total holdings at 13.64 million BTC, nearly 68% of the entire network; small retail investors barely moved. Big money is accumulating, small retail is watching.
So both bulls and bears have cards to play, and no one reveals first. Before CPI is released, talking about the big direction is just guessing. If the October 14 CPI continues to cool, the "no rate hike" trade might push BTC to test previous highs; if inflation rebounds and long-term yields surge again, 82,500 will be retested.
Strategy: Treat it as a range. Be bullish near support, bearish near resistance, always use stop-loss, don't force trades in the middle. Wait for data to give direction.
#OKXNOW: Opening a new era of all-weather markets #本周美联储将公布9月会议纪要 ETH has dropped below 2600. I checked the market this morning, around 2577. Without hesitation, I cleared the small spot position I had from last week. Now I only have USDT, just holding.
It's not panic. It's acceptance.
US Treasury yields have surged again, with the 10-year at 5.11% and the 30-year at 5.60%, the highest since 2007. You can get over 5% risk-free just by holding, so what do you compete with to make money? ETH doesn't generate cash flow or dividends; its entire value is based on the assumption that "someone is willing to buy it at a higher price." When risk-free yields exceed 5%, this assumption starts to weaken.
The 2600 to 2650 range is where long-term holders have the densest concentration of chips. On-chain data makes this very clear. This level is not support; it's a ceiling. Every time the price tries to break through, this group sells it back down. It has tried three times and been pushed back each time. After the third rejection, the bulls disperse themselves.
Then comes liquidation. In the past 24 hours, the entire network saw liquidations of 335 million, with longs accounting for 213 million. It's not shorts winning; it's longs trampling each other. The leverage is piled too high; one small trigger and everything blows up.
ETH also has its own troubles: spot ETFs have had net outflows for five consecutive days, validators exiting the queue surged from 166,000 to 851,000, about 780,000 ETH queued for unlocking. Supply pressure is obvious, but the buying side can't absorb it.
October 1st is the US government shutdown deadline. The two parties are still arguing, and the temporary funding bill hasn't passed. If a shutdown really happens, September's nonfarm payroll data will be delayed, leaving the Fed with less data to base its October meeting decisions on.The overall market risk appetite decline drives a pullback, with $XRP short positions gaining excess floating profits.
The overall market hype has faded, the profit-making effect on the market has weakened, risk aversion sentiment has spread, and previously hyped coins have started to pull back along with the broader market.
Seize the window of declining risk appetite to establish short positions at the point where bullish momentum wanes, objectively assess the downside potential, and avoid subjectively predicting endless declines.

Looking at the $BTC annual cost line, the 2025 buyer group is the most awkward.
The average cost is about $88,000, currently the only year with an overall unrealized loss; after pushing to 87,500 in September, it consolidated, now falling back below 84,000. Recent buyers tend to sell once breaking even, 88K is the key resistance. $ZEC I really don't know what to say about this worthless altcoin of yours. Is there some manipulator strongly supporting the price? Every time it drops below 1300 in the past week, it immediately rebounds and rallies. It just won't fall. Every time it drops and gives hope, it immediately surges again. Please spare the bears, I'm done playing.Macro pricing power is no longer in the hands of the bulls. U.S. Treasury yields and the dollar are strengthening simultaneously, risk assets are passively deleveraging, and after Bitcoin broke below 83,000, it triggered a liquidation of 700 to 900 million USD worth of long positions, with ETH weakening accordingly. The current price of 2563 has effectively broken the support zone, moving averages have formed a death cross, MACD volume continues to decline, and the bearish structure is clear.
There is liquidation pressure for short positions between 2600 and 2650 on the upside, making it difficult for a rebound to hold in this range. On the downside, there is concentrated long liquidity between 2520 and 2550; if the price drops, it will sweep through this area. I just parked the car by the roadside and wiped the water off my face, but my phone keeps vibrating nonstop in my pocket. Since ETH's rebound is weak, I will only look to short at high levels.
In terms of operation, enter short positions in batches between 2590 and 2610 on rebounds, with a stop loss strictly above 2635. Take profit is first expected at 2520, and if broken, look down to around 2480. Until the macro bearish factors and liquidation risks are fully released, do not take long positions.

Look at the current market positions: 744 are long, only 391 are short, with the bulls outnumbering the bears by more than twice. But the result? Only 27.68% of the bulls are profitable, while a whopping 82.09% of the bears are making money. In numbers, barely 200 bulls are making a profit, whereas over 320 bears are steadily cashing in.
The side with more people is suffering heavy losses, while the smaller side is raking in big gains. This is exactly the kind of meat grinder scenario that manipulators love. The retail investors are all crowded in the bullish camp holding on desperately, with all the chips in their hands. The manipulators have no interest in pumping the price; they just need to push it down, cutting off these 500-plus deeply trapped bag holders.
