Pay with stablecoins in one scan
Scan to Pay is an OKX Pay feature that lets you pay merchants by scanning their payment QR code. Choose USDG, USDT or USDC from your Pay account, review the rate, and confirm. The merchant receives payment in the currency they accept. It is now available in 10 markets. More Payment QR code will be supported in the future.

The scanner shows the QR type label below the viewfinder, so you can confirm which local network you are paying into before you proceed.

1. How do I open the QR scanner?
You can open the scanner from:
OKX App homepage — the Pay icon in the top-right navigation bar, then select Scan icon
OKX App homepage — the Scan icon to the right of the search bar, which goes straight to the scanner
OKX Pay page — the Scan icon on the OKX Pay homepage
2. Can I upload a QR code instead of scanning it?
We recommend scanning the QR code directly rather than uploading a saved image, as the code may change over time.
3. Why does it sometimes say it is unavailable
Availability depends on your market and account eligibility. Some countries and regions are not currently supported.
4. Which tokens can I pay with?
You can pay with all stablecoins on X Layer in your Pay account. Other tokens and networks aren't supported yet.
5. How do I know if my payment went through?
Completed: The payment went through.
Declined: The merchant or payment processor declined it.
Pending (within 1 minute): The payment was processing. Please wait until it's completed or declined.
Pending (over 1 minute): There might be some technical issue. Please contact OKX Customer Support.
6. Are there any fees?
Scan to Pay doesn't charge gas fees or transaction fees.
7. Is there a limit on how much I can pay?
Yes, there are per-transaction, daily, and monthly limits.
8. Can I cancel a payment?
You can cancel any time before you sign with your Passkey: just close the signing window. Once you've signed, the transaction is recorded on-chain and can't be reversed.
9. What happens if a payment fails or is declined?
Your stablecoins is still in your Pay account.
10. Where can I see my payment history?
Go to Pay>Activity. Each payment shows its status, amount, conversion rate, time and merchant details.
