This will be the last time I get liquidated in my life
I opened a short position out of boredom at night, set a stop loss, and then let my guard down. An unexpected spike came suddenly, directly hitting the stop loss and knocking me out of the position.
With the sole thought of recovering the loss, after a brief rebound, greed became uncontrollable. Thinking I had figured out the market, I opened a heavy position and completely abandoned stop loss protection.
The market instantly reversed, and I watched helplessly as my account was liquidated twice in a row, wiping out my principal.
Anger and regret overwhelmed me instantly, impulsive enough to want to smash things, filled with a sense of powerlessness. I've lost money in stocks and funds before, but no asset class has crushed my mentality like the crypto world.
Even if the losses are bearable, this kind of mental exhaustion is unbearable. I'm calling it quits here, goodbye to the self that was toyed with by the market.
After reading this story, I really feel for the little horse; every trader thinks stop loss is a talisman, but getting stopped out just triggers a retaliatory order buff 😂.
My own path is still long, people ahead keep falling one after another, what fate awaits me? I don't want to think about it anymore. Anyway, half of my principal is already gone.
