About BTCETFBiggestOutflow

US spot Bitcoin ETFs saw $484.9M in net outflows on Oct 7, their largest one-day exit since June 25. IBIT, FBTC and ARKB lost $207.7M, $105.1M and $101.7M, respectively; no fund recorded a net inflow. The move followed $118.8M in inflows on Oct 6 and left October flows at roughly -$163M through Oct 7. With withdrawals spread across multiple funds, traders are watching whether ETF demand holds up. Will outflows persist or prove to be a short-term shift in positioning?

BTC vs ETH: a split in ETF flows. BTC attracted $241.1M last week — its third straight week of inflows — while ETH bled $138M after pulling in $690M the week before. BTC trades ~$83,835, ETH ~$2,607. Yet ETH's fund holdings are rebounding 23% from July lows. Flows say one thing, holdings say another. $BTC $ETH

$646M left Bitcoin and Ethereum spot ETFs in a single day. $BTC funds lost ~$485M on October 7, their largest daily outflow since June 25. $ETH funds shed another $161M, bringing their seven-session outflow streak to nearly $569M. I find the timing pretty concerning. Oil is rising, Treasury yields are climbing, and the dollar is strengthening. Now ETF flows are adding another source of pressure instead of helping absorb it.

Bitcoin ETFs

Looking at these $ETH signals, the short-term outlook doesn't look good. Spot ETH ETF had a net outflow of 201.89 million on October 6, all from BlackRock's ETHA, marking six consecutive days of outflows and the largest single-day withdrawal since September 16. Tom Lee's BitMine holds 6.016M ETH, accounting for 4.9% of supply, valued at about 15.5 billion at $2580 each. They will stop buying at 5%, leaving about 100,000 ETH space.

The broad pullback looks more macro-sensitive than crypto-specific. With bond-yield stress back in focus, BTC holding near $83K matters more than chasing intraday moves. Easing whale pressure is constructive, but rates still set the near-term risk tone. Not advice, just analysis.

The market is falling—but is the money actually leaving? 👀 I checked today’s data across BTC, ETH, and SOL. All three are down, and the 7-day trend is still weak: $BTC ~$83.3K (-2.71%) $ETH ~$2,575 (-4.68%) $SOL ~$116.35 (-4.25%) ETF flows are also showing outflows, with preliminary October 7 data showing around $168.6M leaving BTC ETFs and $40M leaving ETH ETFs. Final numbers could still change. But here’s the interesting part: stablecoin liquidity on-chain is still growing. #DailyOrbit

Bitcoin spot $82,062, down 1.12% over 24h. The interesting part is not the price, it's the mismatch between who is supplying coin and who is absorbing it. Spot side is selling. ETF flows ran -$238.6M (-2,865 BTC) on the prior session, on top of -$484.9M on Oct 7. Five-day net is -$504.6M, negative on three of five days. That is real supply leaving, not leveraged noise. Exchange balances added 2,962 BTC net inflow. Notably, zero large transfers and no single dominant deposit — the coin is arriving from many mid-size wallets. Dispersed, persistent supply is harder for a book to digest than one whale dump. Leverage side is not flinching. $220.0M of liquidations, $202.7M of it longs (92%), shorts only $17.2M. Yet open interest moved just +0.32%, to $52.78B. Funding stayed at +0.6529%, roughly a standard deviation above normal (z = +1.18). Long/short positioning is still 65/35. A genuine long flush normally shows OI contraction and funding decay. Here one cohort got taken out and someone re-entered at the same price almost immediately. The leverage was never cleared. Context checks: the dominant liquidation cluster was 96% shorts inside a 4h window but only $1.70M — too small to call a reversal. On-chain throughput proxy rose 40.5% to $16.59B, but mempool backlog is 73,649 txs / 39.23MB with all three fee tiers at 1 sat/vB. Nobody is bidding for blockspace, so that volume carries no urgency. Book is ask-heavy: $102.4M ask depth vs $83.7M bid, with 1h taker flow at -0.07%, essentially flat. The 1,246 BTC sell wall is still there, but large-order flow is +20.9% net buy — the wall is being eaten slowly, not defended. Lean: one forced deleveraging event on the derivatives side still looks unfinished. Spot is supplying, leverage is catching. What would kill that read — any one of these: Funding falls back under z = 0.5 with OI declining alongside it (healthy deleveraging). ETFs flip to net inflow, like the +$118.8M on Oct 6, while exchange net change turns negative. The 1,246 BTC wall disappears while large-order net buying holds above +20%, which would mean buyers are clearing the path rather than longs being trapped. Information, not investment advice. #Bitcoin #ETF #Derivatives
