Few protocols shaped DeFi's incentive wars like Curve. Its vote-escrow model pushed other projects to compete for CRV emissions and direct liquidity to their pools. That history is instructive and a little cautionary. Stablecoin swapping remains a core DeFi need, but the token's strength depends on whether those incentives still attract sticky liquidity.
