TSMC’s record revenue figures were already public before October 15, so presenting them as an unexpected positive surprise on earnings day may be missing the bigger picture.
On October 8, the company reported that September revenue increased 54.6% year-over-year but slipped 0.6% compared with August. This highlights an important distinction: strong annual growth doesn’t necessarily mean revenue will rise every month.
