On August 13, the S&P closed just 1 point shy of 7,800. It took 54 days to cross that 1 point.
▪️ That was its 27th record high of the year; it didn’t break a new high for the next 54 days, with a low of 7,551.81 in between
▪️ From the 27th to the 28th record, it only moved less than 20 points (0.26%) — while the Nasdaq rose 1.3% in the same period
▪️ The index stands at an all-time high, but the number of stocks hitting 52-week highs dropped from 16 to 5
