President Trump says the G7 nations have reached a deal to release emergency fuel reserves as countries move to confront surging diesel prices.
"We have reached an agreement for Europe to release massive amounts of diesel fuel from the heavily stocked reserves, and that's starting immediately."
The G7 says the broader 100-million-barrel release begins immediately, with a substantial diesel release front-loaded within the first 20 days.

"Europe has a lot of diesel, and they're going to be making a major world contribution, and so are we," Trump said.
He says oil will go down to "the price it was before, maybe even lower" once the Iran war ends, which he says "won't be long."
G7 leaders have agreed to release up to 100 MILLION barrels of crude and diesel over four months.

Iran is also not backing down, saying they are willing to talk but you are still attacking us during negotiations.
