Institutional money is sitting out: spot ETH ETFs have shed ~$1B over three weeks while stablecoin supply stays flat. Without fresh inflows, every bounce into resistance just fades — ETH keeps getting capped under 2,400. Watching for an ETF inflow turn or a reclaim of key levels; that would flip the script. $ETH $BTC #CanBTCReboundLast
ONLY 1 DAY LEFT: At 14:50 UTC tomorrow (10/21), Solana's Alpenglow upgrade goes live on mainnet — the biggest upgrade in $SOL history. The finalization time drops from 12.8 seconds to ~150 milliseconds: 18 months of preparation for a single "slot" transition. Notably: the Proof of History protocol — Solana's original "clock" — is officially retired. $SOL around 105 USD, derivatives remain hot. A great upgrade, will the price have a "great" reaction? (CoinMarketCap, Unchained — 10/20)#BTCETHInflowsWatch
BitMine just accumulated an additional 12,535 ETH (~$30.4 million) last week — total holdings now 6.04 million $ETH, only about 5% of the total supply away, roughly ~64,000 tokens. At this pace, in about 5 weeks it will be "closed" — and Tom Lee clearly states: reaching the goal means STOP accumulating. Something to ponder: JPMorgan is moving JPM Coin onto the $ETH network for institutional clients. One side is dumping ETFs, the other quietly accumulating — who is right? China just announced Q3 GDP growth of 4.5% — surpassing Reuters' forecast of 4.4%, with 9-month exports soaring +16.4%. Meanwhile, $BTC hit $83,000 overnight before retreating to around $82,000. China's real estate sector is still plunging (-20.6% investment), so cheap money is still seeking shelter. Will $BTC benefit if the Asian macro environment continues to warm up? Crypto hinge week: Bitcoin holds at 81,000 USD, Ethereum enters the "accumulation zone," and the less explored niches
Bitcoin is hovering around 81,000–82,000 USD after a week of consolidation. On 10/15, the largest coin briefly dipped below ~79,770 USD — a 4-week low — then bounced back as buyers successfully defended the psychological 80,000 USD level. Bitcoin is currently the only "anchor" amid the sea of red: its dominance has climbed to nearly 59%, while the total market capitalization retreated 1.7% to ~3.88 trillion USD in just the past 24 hours (data compiled on 10/18/2026). ETF MONEY FLOW: 730 MILLION USD EXITED THE TABLE The most notable figure last week: from 10/12–10/16, ET
Fidelity has just been fined 500,000 USD by the state of California: from late 2022 to 2025, customers could buy $BTC on this platform but were NOT allowed to withdraw to personal wallets — to transfer, they had to sell, pay taxes, then buy again elsewhere. Reason for the fine: investors have the right to full access to the assets they purchase. This is the second case after Robinhood in 2024. Old lesson: "not your keys, not your coins" — your $BTC, make sure you can withdraw it. (CoinDoo — 10/18/2026)#BTCETHInflowsWatch
Real money is still flowing, just not into prices yet: In the first 9 months of 2026, stablecoin payments reached $482 billion (+45%), with 1.04 billion transactions (+71%) — September alone set a record of $72 billion, mostly through $USDT and $USDC. New research from BIS also shows: the higher the bank deposit interest rates, the slower $USDT and $USDC grow. The stablecoin race against traditional banks is heating up — which side do you think will win? (Allium/PANews, BIS — 10/18/2026)#BTCETHInflowsWatch
Today, 10/19, CME officially launches futures contracts for $BCH and $UNI — adding 2 more names to the list of major coins with futures. CME is trading about 279,800 crypto contracts daily, equivalent to 8.3 billion USD. When this news came out last time, Bitcoin Cash surged +33% in one day. Institutional money is opening more "pipelines" for crypto — the question is, between $UNI and $BCH, who will benefit more? (Decrypt — 10/19/2026)#BTCETHInflowsWatch
This Wednesday (10/21), Solana's Alpenglow upgrade officially launches on mainnet — the most anticipated $SOL upgrade of the year. $SOL is currently around 103 USD, still recovering after last week's Shanghai event postponement incident. Network upgrades are usually short-term catalysts for price — but this time the overall market is weak, will the good news be enough to pull it up? Let's wait and see. SpaceX reports Q3 on Oct 20 — my first look at what matters: compiled estimates point to ~12.9B revenue and 0.14 EPS, but the real story is Starlink. 12M subscribers is huge, yet ARPU sliding from 85 to 66 dollars shows the price-for-growth tradeoff. Watching whether profits can catch up. My view only, not advice.#SpaceXQ3Earnings
