OKX Europe introduces Flexible Loan, allowing users to borrow USDC against their crypto
Starting 7 October 2026, 10:00 UTC, OKX Europe Limited users can access Flexible Loan, a collateralised borrowing product that allows you to borrow USDC without selling your eligible crypto holdings.
By using supported crypto assets as collateral, you can borrow USDC while retaining ownership of your collateral, subject to the product terms, collateral requirements and liquidation risks described below. You can repay at any time, and interest payable accrues only while you have an outstanding loan.
What is Flexible Loan?
Flexible Loan allows you to pledge one or more supported crypto assets as collateral and borrow USDC against their value.
Your borrowing capacity depends on the market value of your collateral, the applicable collateral ratios and other product parameters shown before you confirm the loan. Interest is charged at a variable rate on your outstanding borrowed amount.
The USDC you borrow is credited to your OKX account. Subject to the normal account and withdrawal requirements, it can be used on the platform, transferred between your own OKX accounts or withdrawn.
How it works
Open Flexible Loan in the OKX app or website.
Select the crypto assets you want to use as collateral.
Enter the amount of USDC you want to borrow.
Review the variable borrowing rate, collateral details, loan-to-value ratio and liquidation information.
Confirm the loan.
Repay some or all of the outstanding USDC and interest at any time.
Your collateral remains locked while it supports an outstanding loan. It becomes available after the related liability has been repaid, subject to any processing or account restrictions.
Key features
Borrow without selling your crypto
Use supported crypto holdings as collateral to access USDC without first selling those assets.
Use multiple supported collateral assets
Where available, you may combine supported collateral assets within a Flexible Loan order. The eligible assets and applicable collateral parameters are displayed in the product.
Flexible repayment
There is no fixed loan term. You can make partial repayments or repay the full outstanding amount at any time, subject to the product terms.
Variable interest rate
The borrowing rate is variable and may change over time according to lending-pool conditions. The current rate and estimated interest payable are displayed in the product. Past or displayed rates are not guaranteed to continue.
Monitor your loan-to-value ratio
The value of your collateral and your outstanding liability determine your loan-to-value ratio. You can monitor the ratio in the product and may add collateral or repay part of the loan to reduce it.
Who can use Flexible Loan?
Flexible Loan is available to eligible OKX Europe Limited users who have completed the required account verification and any product assessment required by OKX.
Flexible Loan is now available to users with a Derivatives account, with access rolling out to users with a Spot-only account from 15 October.
Availability remains subject to the OKX Europe Terms of Service, Flexible Loan terms, applicable laws, account status and product restrictions. Not all users may have access to Flexible Loan.
How interest is calculated
Interest accrues on the outstanding borrowed amount at the applicable variable borrowing rate. The borrowing rate is updated every hour.
The current borrowing rate, accrued interest and total amount due are shown in the Flexible Loan interface. If the borrowing rate changes, future interest will accrue using the updated rate in accordance with the product terms.
Before confirming a loan, review:
The USDC amount being borrowed
The applicable borrowing rate
The collateral assets and values
The initial loan-to-value ratio
The applicable warning and liquidation levels
The estimated interest and total liability
Managing collateral and repayment
You may be able to add collateral, remove eligible excess collateral, borrow additional USDC or make a partial repayment, provided the resulting position remains within the product’s applicable requirements.
When repaying, outstanding interest and principal will be settled according to the repayment sequence stated in the Flexible Loan terms.
Liquidation risk
Crypto-asset prices can change rapidly. If the value of your collateral falls, or your outstanding liability increases because of accrued interest, your loan-to-value ratio may rise.
If the position reaches the applicable warning level, you may be asked or prompted to add collateral or repay part of the loan. If it reaches the liquidation level, OKX may sell some or all of the collateral in accordance with the Flexible Loan terms.
Liquidation may result in losses. In some circumstances, the proceeds from selling the collateral may be insufficient to cover the outstanding liability, and you may remain responsible for any shortfall as set out in the applicable terms.

Risk disclosure
Flexible Loan is a collateralised borrowing product and involves risk. The value of crypto assets can be highly volatile. A decline in collateral value, an increase in accrued interest or a change in applicable product parameters may increase your loan-to-value ratio and lead to liquidation. Liquidation may occur quickly during volatile market conditions, and you may lose some or all of the collateral assigned to the loan. Borrowing rates are variable and may increase. Information displayed about rates, borrowing capacity and collateral value may change and does not guarantee future availability or cost. Technical, market-liquidity or operational conditions may affect borrowing, repayment, collateral adjustment, transfer, withdrawal or liquidation processing. You should assess whether borrowing against crypto assets is appropriate for your financial circumstances and risk tolerance. This announcement is for information only and does not constitute financial, investment, legal or tax advice, or an offer or recommendation to buy, sell or hold any crypto asset.
Flexible Loan is subject to the applicable OKX Europe Terms of Service, Flexible Loan terms, eligibility requirements and jurisdictional restrictions.
